Two Hercules films in one year?

Do we honestly need two films about Hercules in one year?
I mean, how many times can they tell the same story?
I have yet to see this one, and I've heard it's terrible but I wont say anything until I have seen it so I don't know.

But...

The cast with the Hercules coming out in July looks awful.
It has Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) as Hercules. That just tells everyone how bad this movie is going to do right there.

A model, Irina Shayk in it as well. Yes, she's really hot, but can she act? My guess is, no.

So what is everyone's thoughts on whats going to be worse? This film or the one coming out in July? Which cast looks worse? Mine is the one that comes out in July.

I thought we already saw the Rock as Hercules. Wasn't it called the Scorpion King?

Yes, we do need 2 Hercules movies....while this POS was not worth a dime and I didn't get to see Herc anywhere except for some muscular vagrant being kicked and pushed around, the one with Dwayne Johnson will be true to the Hercules mythos. And if the studio played their cards right, they should rake in plenty of millions. You see, when people hear about Hercules they don't want to see some bum being dragged around or involved in some idiotic love triangle... they want to see the dude performing the 12 Labors, killing monsters, wrestling giants, and taking on entire armies single-handedly.

POS will be the one with Dwayne Johnson, and don't even get me started on the Hercules mythos because Dwayne 'I can't act' Johnson will be worse then this.

My thought exactly. Apart from the being the son of Zeus, there was no Hercules here.

Time to come back to reality. Brett Ratner's Hercules film isn't even out yet and its already better than this one.
