The Lion... lol! WTF? 90s CGI? Jumanji?

Remember that 90s movie Jumanji, with the terrible CGI(cutting edge for the 90s). Haven't things progressed since then?

I couldn't believe how fake the lion looked in this movie. Awful! And then we get Hercules choking the lion out via rear naked choke, UFC style. I almost expected Joe Rogan to commentate at that point.

They seem to have conveniently forgot the lion's main weapons - it's teeth and claws. Lions don't tend to get involved in a submission wrestling match, they prefer to use their weapons.

Haha, im seeing the movie right now and thought exactly the same!! Think it is by far the worst animated lion in a film ever!

I thought I saw a pussycat...here kitty kitty...
I laughed my ass off when I saw the "lion", funniest moments in movie history. Maybe the lion had lunch and was too heavy to jump :D, it was just too fecking hilarious

The scene is meant to show that Hercules has superhuman strength, and can actually strangle a lion with his bare hands. Instead of picking apart the effects why not just enjoy the scene for what it was? It was a good way to demonstrate Hercules' strength early in the film. On the dvd the scene looks better than it did in the theater. it looks like they made the screen a bit darker for that scene.
