Same age as their parents?

The scenes where you see Iphicles and his mother together seem completely wrong. They look exactly the same age, they made absolutely no attempt to make her look older than she is. The same goes for King Amphitryon, he doesn't look old enough to be the father of Iphicles.

I found it to be a fairly major flaw and made it a lot harder to suspend disbelief and just enjoy the movie.

That and the fact that Herculese makes whale noises and weird animal groaning noises whenever he gets into a fight. He's part god, not part goat.

haha yeah I thought the same and came here to see if someone made the same observation. It was stupid. In fact both the king and queen barely aged from the intro and now looked like at least 25-30 years had passed. Then long dialogue scene zooming in on the faces of the older looking son and the very young looking mother.

Some wrinkles? Thinner hair? Anything? Some make-up for 500 bucks in a movie supposed to have 70M budget wasn't much to ask for.

"Goat Hercules" was fun too. I really noticed that for the 1 vs 6 arena fight. The fight started with some major animal roar. Wtf? Whoever worked with the design probably tried to get as many animal sounds in as possible as some sort of inside joke.

Seriously, that is some bad casting. The King might possibly pass but the mother looked absolutely ridiculous. I think she's only like 1 year older in real life than her older son! I mean, could they not have cast an older actress? Was the actress that played the queen that great in her part? It's just bizarre.

I hate when they do this too. Even when they attempt makeup, which they didn't even bother here, it's often not enough. Just cast someone else.
