the king has really kept up his fighting skills

almost taking down hercules, who took down 6 undefeated warriors in a 1-on-6 and with the strength to tear down a heavy concrete tower.

He must do pilates.

If you listen to Hercules before the battle he says he is there as a mortal man

reply

interesting, didn't pick that up.

agreed. i thought he was winning, but then Herc got lucky/king made a mistake, and got caught in that chokehold.
I would say the king in his prime (as shown in the beginning) would have won.

He's not much like Leonidas, but yeah! He sure is heck of a warrior.

Man is a military animal, glories in gunpowder, and loves parade.

reply

Simple he was played by the awesome Scott Adkins

In a time of ancient Gods, Warlords and Kings, a land in turmoil cried out for a hero The power the passion the danger

reply

This is a man who choke slammed another king in the first 5 mins of the movie. Of course he'll keep his fighting skills up. There's nothing better to do in ancient greece

reply

Scott Adkins would have been a better Hercules.

If you cast Scott Adkins, you know damn well his role isn't going to be a pushover.
