When he's in the battle with the six undefeated gladiators it looks like a shot is cut short and in the next scene he's holding the guy's decapitated head. But it's such a quick shot (I had to rewind it to be sure) it makes me think that they originally filmed it, planning for an R rating. Did anyone hear otherwise?

I really doubt it, the producers were likely hoping to draw some of the twilight fans in by casting Lutz, a significant portion of whom are not 18.
shareMaybe it was...but the level of brain damage you retain after watching this disaster "movie-of-the-week" garbage, is the same regardless of whether it was originally intended to be R-rated, or the completely pointless PG-13 rating it ended up getting!
