Where is the blood?

Why are some directors insisting on making the fighting scenes unrealistic by removing the gore and blood? Makes it look like wrestling instead of real fights. The director should look at Spartacus and 300, even 1/10 of the gore from that show/movie would make this movie a lot better.

PROBABLY SINCE Its pg-13 they cut down on graphic violence

reply

That's where they messed up. Why make it pg-13. Give a hard R with T&A and plenty of blood and gore. As it is it's like watching a really bad high school play.

i agree,
just for the sake of a bit plausibility.
it sure dont need to be over the top as spartacus or 300

but man,if someone plant a bar of steel into your chest,or wield an axe to your limbs its gonna get ulgy. simply as that

I also don't know why they bothered putting a woman in the Gladiator arena with him if he wasn't going to kill her. He killed the other four, but just trapped her in a net. Did he not kill her because she's a woman? Come on...

I mean, I don't care that much, but don't treat her like she's anything different than the other five dudes she came into the ring with.

I wonder how spectacular this movie could be if it's like 300.

Man is a military animal, glories in gunpowder, and loves parade.

Blood's apparently wherever the hell they stored the pregnancy bump (for the birth scene) and probably next to the real script with the good plot.

I don't suppose it ever occurred to anyone that it might be the overly gory movies that are unrealistic?
