The badness of this movie is soo exaggerated!!

Personally, I think it's just like the new clash of the titans. I think I was more disappointed with Clash of the Titans than this movie. I would give this 6/10, did I regret watching it? No, it was an okay movie, some elements were good, it's just one of those movies where you saw the potential but the person is too amateur to make it what it's suppose to be. Could everything have flowed better? Yes!! I am surprise this is suppose to be an experienced director, because the flow felt very abrupt all the way, I did enjoy the graphics, I mean, it's not LOTR graphics, but it's STARZ Spartacus graphic, which I enjoyed. The lion was badly done though. But the King did a good job and I thought Hercules himself did a good job. I really did like Kellan as Hercules.

But I can understand why people are upset.

1) They call this Hercules Origins story, but the story is nothing like the real Hercules story. Following the actual storyline would have been more entertaining. And the deviation from it is too clique, no real suspense or twist, typical forbidden love, love story!

2) Unattractive Female Lead

3) No Blood, fight scenes would have looked alot better if they showed some blood spilled

4) Recycled Starz Spartacus costumes, CGI and actors (This is probably the worst part that affected this movie)

5)Casting Liam as Hercules sidekick was seriously a big mistake!

6) Not making Hercules super strength really super strength enough

Three things that would have totally change most people's opinion of the movie

1)Hot Females like in Spartacus, and show more skin!

2)Blood and gore

3)Do not cast Liam McIntyre at all, especially when all the costumes already looked like Spartacus! I think it would have made a huge difference so people don't roll their eyes at his presence, especially when his storyline is so similar to Spartacus!

It is effects not graphics, also film effects should always look better than television effects. People hate this film for more/different reasons than you listed.

I really don't understand what was wrong with this movie.

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. One of the main reasons i did want to see this is bc Liam was cast. I understand your point of not casting Liam but i think Liam has probably brought a lot of eyes to this film.

Seeing as almost nobody saw this movie and it is a huge bomb. No "eyes" were brought to the film, no idiot bait has worked.

I don't think Liam is as popular as you think he is.

Spartacus was not a very successful series, that's why it's ended now.

Its amazing that someone needs to be so specific when making a comment. I, being a fan of Spartacus. A series that was on the Starz network. Was surprised to find Hercules being a pretty decent movie. Since I am a fan of Spartacus, Liam was 1 of the reasons I decided to see this in theaters. Liam being cast probably brought a lot of eyes to this movie that were fans of Spartacus. That is my opinion. Keyword opinion.

I am a fan of 300, twilight and Starz spartacus, and what attracted me to this movie, was 300 graphics, which is exactly what attracted me to Starz Spartacus in the first place, and of course Kellan is from Twilight, but I'm a girl, and his eye candy, great voice too. Scott Adkin was pretty hot too.

I think if they got Steven Deknight to direct this, it would have been awesome!

I just think having Liam in it brings more negative than positive. His already an inferior Andy Whitfield.

if u were expecting it to be great, its bad. i expected it to be bad, and it was about average

I thought it was fun as a b-grade cheapie which is what it was and had no pretensions to be anything other than that. True it didn't follow the story of Hercules at all, and while no-one will accuse kellan lutz of being a great actor, his chiselled looks are a nice throwback to the beefcake casting of Hercules in the 1950s. Enjoyable fluff.

I expected a total bomb, but it was okay. The look of cgi cheapens the movie, but the actual action setups were solid. I'm tired of seeing Oscar-hungry stars trying to "elevate" every genre picture, so I kind of got a kick out of this. This movie is dumb fun and it knows it.

Exactly; like sword & sandal films are supposed to be. I had a blast seeing this in the theater. It's a real throwback to a time when movies weren't self conscious and obsessed with awards and reviews. I loved it.
