I wouldn't hold your breath for a sequel. Whether you liked it or not, the movie was panned by critics, reviled by most moviegoers, and flopped at the box office.

I don't think they ever intended for it to have a sequel.
It seems like the producers caught wind that a major studio was making a Hercules movie with The Rock and decided to rush out their own movie in advance of it. The fight scenes were surprisingly enjoyable, but it was just an attempt at a quick cash grab. Unfortunately, with that being so transparent, moviegoers decided to stay away from the film.
They should have advertised the fight scenes more. They could have picked out a couple of shots which would have made it clear that the action was good.
God it was horrible.
