It could have been so much better!

Sadly I am not surprised this was cancelled. It was poorly executed . Main issue is it felt nothing tonally like the original show. It felt more like Full House than Punky Brewster. It just felt like any kids/family show you would find on Nickelodeon. The original was very much about Punky and her relationship with Henry , it was a simple premise. Now this reboot was about a large family and their romantic issues etc.. As a fan of the original , I did not even feel any nostalgia because it just was so different tonally. I think they should have had it just about Punky and the foster kid. Too late now but with the right script this reboot could have worked much better than it did.
