Glaring omissions.

Since this is a Hollywood biopic, I didn't expect it to be 100% accurate. I enjoyed the acting and the story. However, there are two glaring omissions in this flick--no mention of Bo Diddly and no mention of Phil Chess. Bo Diddly had hit records on the Checker label, a subsidiary of Chess Records. And Phil Chess was Leonard's brother, and, thus, was a co-founder of Chess.

great observation. Joe Tex, Ike Turner, and Little Richard were also missing (though they weren't on the Chess label i don't think). They were competition though. I think they could have been at least mentioned in passing.

No,none of those artists were on Chess.

Sun Records wasn't talked about at all..Sam Philips recorded some Chess artists in his studio and sold the Masters to chess...Howlin' Wolf cut quite a bit at sun..
