This movie probably had potential on paper, but the cast and script just blew up in everyone's faces...

It was just borrrrrrrrrrring. The singing was fine and the acting ok. Mos Def is the highlight of the movie. He's becoming a good actor. This seemed to be a a starring vehicle just to show off Beyonce though. And it didn't work.

For some reason though, I found the swearing really offputing in this movie. I don't know why. That stuff never bothers me. But it did here.
