This movie needed to be longer and needed more money

It needed more focus on the individual characters, including some that the film omits, and it needed less bogus hate on how Howlin' Wolf. If anything, it needed more love for Howlin' Wolf for not being suckered into losing his money. He earned his success and learned business JUST so he could make sure he wasn't being ripped off. And he certainly didn't hold his band together with death threats.

But in truth, this film did its best in a time where the interest in that subject matter is tragically low and the budget wasn't much. The film gives us what it can, and the fact that it was even made at all needs to be applauded.

Hopefully it opens the door to more such movies.

It definitely needed less Beyonce/Brody scenes and a bit of a shift in focus. I agree with your post. I certainly hope so.
