Load of bollocks. I'm ashamed of the fact that these kind of movies make millions (probably only because of the cast). Hollywood is going down the drain with movies like Twilight and the Proposal. Had to let it out. Among the worst movies I've ever watched.

Maybe the proposal isn't the best movie in the world but (as you said) the cast is made of great actors, there is chemistry between them, and despite some "average" moments the story makes sense.
And... well there is emotion in this movie. Maybe you just missed it.
Oh yeah twilight is bad... but this isn't the place for that :)
