Switch Michael and Gabriel?

Putting aside any Biblical rights or wrongs, I can't help but think they mixed the angels up, Gabriel was the messenger and Michael was the warrior. Any one else?

Only in Revelation is Michael the leader of the angelic host. Traditionally, Michael is the defender of humanity (ancient Israelites) particularly against the accuser angel Samael. Gabriel is more of an enforcer of Yahweh's justice. So from that perspective, their roles fit.
