Wow great foreign film!
I could see Mark Wahlberg as Axel & John Krasinski as Eivind with Saoirse Ronan as Julie!
This set in NYC would be great.
A young, imperfect woman, but hardly the worst person in the world, Julie (Renate Reinsve) goes through what I imagine many of us experience(d) as we approach our 30s: what the hell are we gonna do with the rest of our lives. Some humor, some bittersweet moments, some heartbreak, with each scene flowing beautifully from one to the next. At times, it seemed unclear exactly what influenced some of the character’s motivations and aspirations, but overall, a really good film. Reinsve really stands out here, just wonderful to watch on screen.
I like your idea, if we can replace Wahlberg; not sure he’d fit well. But I’m a fan of Ronan, so count me in!
My choice would be Kiera Knightly as Julia, Eddie Redmayne as Axel, and Tom Hardy as Evind.
