Good to know. I read the customer reviews for the original on Netflix last night and was surprised by all the negative comments. I was like "What movie did they watch?"
^^Perhaps, but I always thought it was one of those films that was so unique, people couldn't help but be curious about it if they started watching it. I had the opening murder scene playing on the TV in my apartment one time when the pizza guy came. He saw the part where the girl was being attacked and heard that music, and he literally stood there after I already paid just staring at the screen in the doorway and he was like "What IS this??" I'm sure if you played the movie on a big screen in the mall or some place with a lot of people, it would attract more than a few curious onlookers. It's just that type of film. I would think even if someone finds it cheesy, humorous, or over-the-top, that they'd still be so transfixed by it that they'd have to respect its craftsmanship.
Yes, it is one of those movies that even the non-horror fan will at least give a go..
When i watched it the other night, my wife was there next to me folding the laundry...She normally hates horror, and thinks most of the stuff i watch is pretty worthless, but even she admitted afterwards that it was a very well-crafted, interesting film.
You just have to appreciate how Argento was ALWAYS able to catch you looking the other way, ya know?
Nobody rocks the cock like Krysta Now. And I mean nobody.
it is an interesting horror film because where as mostly any other horror movie would discourage viewers who are just walking by or what not, this movie attracts them. The music mostly, but the colours, the shots. everything.
