The Running Man done right!

Not like the crappy version from the 80's and with the addition of mind control however that last thing makes a real point about how games are looking as real as the wars we see on television now and how we are becoming numb to violence. (I am a gamer myself and I'm totally non violent IRL but we really need to keep an uncanny valley effect when playing or we'll all become desensitized to violence and the movie went even beyond that...) Also reality TV, it has gotten worse and worse, now the audience chooses who stays and who goes (Big Brother, Temptation Island) but what if the audience could be the "candidates" without risk of death or chlamydia? We seem to forget that the "candidates" are human beings, sometimes with low IQ's and instead of making fools of them some of them should be protected from themselves. The movie makes a point here, is this were we're going? Do we want this? Yes the man with the money wouldn't mind but what about morals, what about humanity...

I'd argue The Running Man is better cause it isn't hateful and disgusting. It's silly and it knows it is.

I would say RM is better even though its a complete piece of shît simply because just about any movie ever made couldn't possibly be worse than this drooling, ineptly directed, insane mess.
