The cheating slut got what she deserved.

I have no sympathy for cheaters. If you're no longer in love with your wife or husband, you have to man/woman up and break things up with them first before you go around and sleep behind their backs. I understand there are certain circumstances where cheating isn't totally wrong. For instance, if you're in an abusive relationship and can't find comfort, but that's besides the point. Elizabeth wasn't in an abusive marriage. She willingly cheated on her husband. It's inexcusable to cheat on your spouse whether he/she isn't around much for emotional and physical comforts. The first and best option is to talk things through and the last resort is to file for divorce before you step out and sleep with someone else.

Lighten up, Francis! You're too judgmental.
And, the idiom is 'beside the point', not 'besides the point'.

First -- You need to simmer down.

Second -- Why did you block out ONE line from you post, when the entire thing (and the subject) are all spoiler?

"Bitch, what you DON'T know about me -- I can just about squeeze into the Grand xxxxing Canyon!"

I agree with the OP. Divorce first then be with your new lover. No excuse for infedelity. Just sick and twisted how some justify it.

reply

Cheating on your spouse means you deserve to die?

That's what you're saying?

Seriously? SERIOUSLY??

"B/tch, what you DON'T know about me -- I can just about squeeze into the Grand xxxxing Canyon!"

reply

Cheaters don't want divorce first and to be with their lover forever- they want no strings attached and something new, for a time. Inevitably one party gets divorced and the other no longer feels safe in the secret relationship, because now there is an imminent commitment involved.

Films like this are wasted on people with such black and white ideology.

I'm writing this signature in bold so people know it's a signature

My thoughts exactly. When I hear people talk like the OP is all I hear is "I'm afraid of being vulnerable!!!!" I don't support cheating of course and never have done it even though I've had quite a few appealing opportunities and probably never will but it's not so black and white, especially when children are involved or here is a history that makes it hard to separate. Deserve to die....wow the OP needs some therapy to deal with that fear.

OP and any supporters of the OP are clearly children. If you cheat you deserve to die...yeah that sounds like a fair trade. Flagrant *beep* twat. The stupidity you find on the interwebs never ceases to amaze me. And actually, you know what? You should probably die for being so stupid. Clearly the world has no use for you. Gross.

I'm always dragging that horse around...

I suspect the OP is an inadequate loser who has been cheated on plenty. Now that the Taliban is on the resurgence, perhaps he would feel more comfortable living in Afghanistan.

Got off too easy, clearly she was planning to get some of that land cash, should have been totally paralyzed and unable to speak, maybe after 10 years of that there would be a heart-warming moment when her husband forgives her and smothers her

You all are pretty severe on a woman who cheats on her husband/family. It shouldn't be a death sentence but a turning point in a marriage when both partners take a fresh look at their union and decide if they'll continue or call it a day. Wow, in this day and again I'm surprised by this feedback.

I agree with one of the posters who said Elizabeth went after the realtor because she was following the money. Those feelings were expressed by her grieving father (Matt should have bought her her own boat instead of sitting on all that money), and cousin Hugh at the bar (Brian Speer would get a boatload of money from this real estate deal) . Her husband refused to take the money, so she was going to get it in another way.
