Is Savannah a ghost in 2020?

01-24-2021

I am not sure of the fictional dates but guess they are probably 1990 and 2020.

And a lot of people in 2020 believe that Savannah died somehow in 1990 and her ghost has been haunting the Tremont Hotel ever since.

And maybe those rumors are just people's overactive imaginations. Or maybe a girl who looks like Savannah has been seen in the hotel over those thirty years.

And if a girl who looks like Savannah has been seen at the the hotel for thirty years, a normal mortal human can't stay looking the same age for thirty years, especially looking like a child.

So I see five possiiblities:

1) Whether savannah is alive or dead, the ghost sightings of Savannah are all due to imagination.

2) The sightings are real, because Savannah's ghost has been hauntng the hotel (and not some other spot in town such as the camp that might seem more logical for her to haunt).

3) Savannah pretended to disappear and has been living in the hotel all those years, surviving somehow, and has some very, very, very rare medical condidition that keeps her looking like a child.

4) Savannah is an immortal of some type who never ages, and has to disappear from one place and move to another from time to time so people won't notice. She mentioned her foster parents. Maybe after whatever happened at the dance, Savannah decided it was time to move on but instead of moving to a new place she hid in the hotel and has been somehow surviving there ever since.

5) Or maybe Savannah learns of the portal, and also learns to control when it leads to. And she might use the portal to travel to the hotel at each date that her ghost was reported seen, to pretend to be her ghost. It might take only a few days of Savannah's time to perform all the "hauntings" in Griffin's list.

So what are your guesses?

02-20-2021 The last episode I have seen so far is "If I could Travel Back in Time", 02-19-2021.

As of the ending of that episode, Savannah is in the year 1960, living or dead, and Griffin and Harper were in the tunnel, maybe in 1960 or in 1990.

If you ever watch the old movie "Pillars of the Sky" (1956), which is loosely based on history, Kamiakin had a different fate in real life. He was watching the progress of his last battle from under a tree when a cannonball knocked a big branch off that landed on Kamiatkin, he was knocked unconscious and his wife and other warriors took him away to safety, and he had to go in hiding for over a decade to avoid being hanged.

At the Battle of Chancellorsville General Joseph Hooker was on the porch of his headquarters when a cannonball knocked a piller onto Hooker's head, knocking him out for a while.

I once read an article about a girl who was killed when she struck her head on a tree branch while horse riding.

And a few years ago there was a dead deer under some trees on our property, and it was believed that it was struck by a falling branch.

So Savannah could have been killed if struck by a branch of of the falling tree which blocked the manhole cover. Or she could have been knocked unconscious while outside during a dangerous storm, and might die in the storm.

So Savannah could still die and become the ghost allegedly haunting the Tremont Hotel. Or possibly the ghost Jess mentioned when daring Savannah to stay in the cellar is real.

Zooey and Wyatt saw a tape recorder playing savannah singing even though the tape recorder was unplugged. Sarah saw a mirror frost over and "Stay" appear on it. Thus it appears that there is some real paranormal activity at the Tremont Hotel.

If there is a real ghost, and it isn't Savannah, it could be whoever invented or at least installed the time portal.

02-20-2021. Continued.

If Savannah is alive and stuck in 1960, she should be 42 if still alive in 1990 and 72 if still alive in 2020. If Savannah hated living in the primitive and backwards era of 1960, and died in the meantime, her frustrated ghost might decide to haunt the Tremont Hotel.

I wonder why the search parties looking for Savannah in 1990 and Harper and Griffin in 2020 didn find the manhole cover for the time portal. If a kid could lift the cover, adult searchers could have, and so they might search the tunnel and unerground space. So people from 2020 might wind up in 2050, and people from 1990 might wind up in 2020.

Feb. 11 2022.

When last seen Savanahh was alive and well living in 1962 aged about 14. Technically the last time she is seen in the latest episode she is in 1930, but coming attractions show her in 1962 in the next epsiode.

Being about 14 living in 1962, Savannah will have an effective birth year of about 1948, about 30 years before she was actually born. So she should be about 72 in 2020 if she doesn't do any more time travel. So Savannah could have died by 2020 and become the ghost haunting the Tremont - if there is a ghost haunting the Tremont.

It is possible that Savannah might be the old woman, Mrs. Barker, seen in a few episodes set in 2020, and so is still alive, and so is probably not the ghost, unless she dies after 2020 and uses the time machine to come back to haunt the Tremont.

In the second season Prestion and Harper suspect that Grace Tremont (died 1929), the wife of Elijah Tremont, mother of Daisy and Sam Tremont, and great great grandmother of Harper and Topher, is the ghost.

the latest episode and coming attractions suggest the possbility that Sam Tremont will die in 1962, and if that happens he could be the ghost of the Tremont.

Who knows, maybe Savannah, Grace, and Sam all haunt the Tremont, and can't agree on what to do about the Campbells.

[Feb. 12/13 2022. In "It's About Time", Feb. 4, 2022, a foreman told one of the workmen to nail a slab of wood over a weak area in the front porch near the railing. A minute later Bennett Campbell stepped through the weak area of the porch. And his son noticed that the slab of wood was now on the side of the porch next to the front wall of the building. It had moved without them seeing it.

If the starship Enterprise was orbiting above, they could have used a tractor beam to pull the nails up and then life the slab of wood and move it over a few feet. But maybe that would make too much noise and people would look to see what was happening there. Or maybe the Enterprise could have used the transporter to beam the wood slab away and then beam tit back a few feet from where it had been.

Tractor beams and trasporters are very advanced science fictional technology, which many scientists would claim are impossible. As so far as we know none of the living characters has any technology more advanced than 2020 technology, though Sam's time machine seems very advanced for 1962.

Thus it seems probable that the wood slab actually was moved by some sort of supernatural means, perhaps by a ghost.]

So seemingly the ghost of Grace has made peace and ascended to heaven or something.

But there seems to be another ghost or "ghost" involved, the one who checked itself into room 205.

Added 02-19-2022

I note that late in the first season the kids believed that a ghost was rocking the rocking chair which rocked itself in 2020. And in the last episode of the first season, Griffin, Harper, and Savannah travelled to the Tremont in 1930, when it was a farm owned by the Tremonts, and saw someone rocking in that chair upstairs, and fled, thinking it was the person who would become the ghost. And if that was Elijah Tremont, possibly after he died he was reunited with his dead wife Grace, and they haunted the Tremont together.

So maybe Elijah Tremont's ghost was away from the Tremont for the latest few episodes of the second season, on some ghost equivalent of a business trip or a vacation, and retunred at the end of the latest episode on 02-18-2022.

If that is the case, I wonder how the ghost of Elijah Tremont would feel about his wife's ghost ascending to another plane of existence, or whatever she did, without waiting to say goodbye to him.
