Paul Rust can't play a high school boy

28 ain't old. He is, however, a bit old to be playing a 17-year-old boy. I'm kinda tired of Michael Cera's awkward schtick, but the role of Denis had his name written all over it. Especially physically. 28 isn't old, but Paul Rust looked to be in his mid-30s. Especially during the valedictorian speech scene.

I was about 1 minute into the movie and I had to come on imdb to find out how old the valedictorian was. I guessed 34.

Definitely. I was guessing 35. That fact made the whole movie a lot more awkward.

I know! I'm watching the movie now and I could not believe that people actually thought this guy could pass as a teen. Couldn't they hold any open casting calls or something?
