Mainly because of Rich and how funny he was and how much of a movie buff. But I HATED how they kept making him gay, I'm not a homophobe or anything but it was just a stupid joke and I wanted him to date the black girl.... Or he could be bi. Then I won't care as much. :)

The book is better..

Rich tried being gay and didn't much like being homosexual either and is waiting for the next thing.
