Did they want Michael Cera?

He seems like he would have been a good lead instead of this D-Bag. It almost seems like the part was written for him and he didn't accept it, so they chose a nerdy guy that was similar yet not nearly as likable or subdued.

That's what I was thinking.

Well not everyone in the world loves Michael Cera and I thought he fit better because listening to Michael Cera do that whole awkward whisper talking thing again I probably would've stopped ten minutes in.

Yeah the lead isn't much to look at but I think that's the beauty of this movie that's what's compelling is that he looks like the average dorky teen that no one would cast as a lead in the movie.

Michael Cera is a *beep* tool. I hate that *beep*, for me anyone is better than that piece of one trick pony bland boring *beep*

reply

Yes Michael Cera is totally type-cast, but he would have been perfect for the lead in this movie. I think they went a little too over to top with the lead they chose.

Micahel Cera or Jesse Eisenberg or Gaelan Connell. Are some choices, likeable guys that are at the same time very dorky.

reply

I'm surprised myself that Michael Cera wasn't cast

I wanna wake up where you are
I won't say anything at all
So why don't you slide

reply

Because he was doing other similar movies.

reply

I thought the same thing. I thought he would have been perfect for this role, but also I agree with Gaelan Connell or Jesse Eisenberg.

Michael Cera is getting beyond this.
