Watched this yesterday, and I remember several times where the camera focus lingered on the bugs (flies, moths, etc.) that were flying/crawling around the exterior lights of the gas station. Was there any reason for this, or am I looking too much into it? I thought it might symbolize the creature's attraction to heat (like the insects to the light), but that seems like a stretch to me.

I think you might be looking to much into it but I could be wrong.. I first thought they were there because of the body in the bathroom but then I got to think it was a rural area in the middle of the forest so of course the bugs were attracted to the light from the gas station but that's just my opinion.
