OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These were my FAVOURITE books as a child, and the BBC adaptation in the late 80s still stands out in my memory as one of the best things I've seen. I am now ridiculously excited about this!!!

shareHave just found out about this myself and really hope this means that the BBC series will be issued out on DVD and that the books will come back into print
please please please
The Green Knowe books were reprinted in 2002, at least in the United States, with new cover art by Brett Helquist.
shareThanks for letting the rest of us know it was a series; sounds like its not available on DVD? Even Region 2? Was it named after the Green Knowe series? Anyone recall who starred? Thanks for any info anyone can pass on. Looking forward to the movie whenever it can get here.
shareIn fact, I wanted to make a comparison with the new movie and bought the series in 2009. I found it there : http://www.pure-nostalgia.co.uk/shop/catalog/browse?shop_param=shop_overview_pager%3D2%26cid%3D9%26
Not expensive for such a rare stuff and quite pleasant to watch!
But it's really different from the Fellowes' movie : JF has adapted "The Chimneys of GK"; the 1986 series was an adaptation of the "Children of GK"... Tolly is a little boy (not a tall teenager like Axel Ethel !) and Great-Grandma Oldknow looks like Maggie Smith's mother...
But I'm still wishing that I'll be able, ONE DAY, to make that comparison !!!
When will it be released, at last ??? It's sooooooo long !
