The clown is way scarier in this movie and the kid is a better actor.

You're in quite a minority, as nobody cared about the 2015 version. The rebooted Poltergeist was an embarrassment to all involved and especially Sam Rockwell, slumming for a paycheck. The movie made less than the '82 original and that's not even figuring in adjustment for inflation.

Wrong. This doesn't hold a candle to the original..

Most remakes surpass the original, so nothing new here
