Tree

That evil CGI tree coming to life and taking the boy hostage within its branches and flings him around like a ragdoll.....

Seriously... wtf? Are these directors high?? It was the most stupid and laughable scene ever. Took me even further out of the 'horror' feel and it didn't have much to begin with.

FML for wasting my time watching this piece of *beep*

And you needed to get personal and insult me because...?

Why was it stupid? It's not something they could have done with the original. And it looked very cool

Trees aren't scary.

But I am guessing, to you they are the devil spawn.

Maybe not to you or me, but to a kid that age, alone in your bedroom on a stormy night, treebranches hitting against the window (that also has no blinds to cover it up) can be the scariest thing in the world, and that's what the poltergeist played on, using the tree to its advantage against the boy. So to me that tree made perfect sense.
