shareYes, it was that bad. They did not seem like a real family. The adding in of *beep* with the cellphone and the drone was just stupid to "modernize" it. There was no suspense. It had way too much CGI. The score for this is so generic compared to Jerry Goldsmith's music for the original. BLAH!!! I sort of knew that I would probably not like this movie, but I wasn't expecting it to be as bad as it is.
Even the ending is just a let down as the original had more. All around this is just a really bad remake.
This movie is terrible and utterly forgettable. Remove the "Poltergeist" title and you easily have a straight to video, cheaply made, poorly acted uninspired piece of garbage.
