Even Poltergeist 3 was better than this silly remake.

I'll take P:3 with all it's camp and the yelling for the name "CAROL ANNE" over this dull remake anytime.

The family in this didn't even seem real and the children were completely miscast.
A few jump scares, questionable plot and over use of CGI (though the other realm scenes were pretty good) were too distracting amongst other issues to really get into this.

Some of the dialogue and the supernatural events were plain silly and the ending was just rather BLAH.

WHY DO I KEEP BOTHERING WITH REMAKES OF ORIGINAL FILMS I LOVED?

Sorry you couldn't enjoy it, I liked it a lot for a remake. I'd say it's better then P:3 but not the first two movies. They've been remaking movies ever since they started making movies and they'll continue to do so. There is no point complaining about it unless you are involved in the movie making process. How about we enjoy your movies that you want to make or remake so we can complain about them? You guys make me laugh so by all means please keep it up. We all need some comedy in our lives.

Oh please, give any fan of the original a chance to write a script for a remake, and they will come with a better idea than any these supposed professionals did. The remake just screams "please we want money we don't care about the original". I don't hate this remake, have seen a lot worse and even seen some pretty good that, dare I say, surpasses the original, but saying this one was a good remake is just being delusional.
