Hmmmmm, could have been great
It starts off well but quickly goes downhill.
They made it like the remake of Rear Window.
I'm quite familiar with the real story, and this was not part of it.
The true story is compelling enough on it's own without needing to embellish it for for a film.
The boyfriend was plain annoying and the accents are questionable (English poking through "American").
The actors playing John List and the detective were solid enough, but the others were distracting (and mostly unnecessary).
Also, bizarrely, they changed John Walsh's name to John Wesley, which considering they had him tell the story of his son's kidnapping and murder (albeit with a few details changed, including his name too), is very odd to me.
I don't understand why they would make a film of a true story and then change half of the facts.
Either tell the true (and very well known) story, or make a fictional film.
Watch a documentary of the case instead of this.
3/10.
