There was chemistry there and they loved each other. Too bad they didn't explore it more.

Hmmm. Despite the fact that it's never outright stated, I got the distinct impression that Anna and Lucie were lovers. Something about the way Anna's mother spoke, and the way the two interacted after piling up the four bodies.
