Horrible film
This is by far the most disturbing film I have ever seen. It's basically a girl being tortured and battered in the most extreme way. Wish I never watched it.
Disturbing =/= bad
You have to open your mind more. A movie like A Serbian Movie or Devil's Rejects (grabbing the popcorn) are disturbing and are honnestly awful movies. It's meant to disturb and it's the only thing it does. Devil's Rejects has probably the most despicable characters I've ever seen in a movie.
Movies like Martyrs in another hand, disturb the audience with a purpose. The movie is really well written and especially acted. We follow the flow of the movie by feeling the pain that the characters go trhought. It is certainly not for every audiences, but saying that this mlvie is bad is pretty unfair.
I see a lot of people defending this film, but if it ends and the credits roll and people are saying they feel sick, depressed, and despondent from the nihilism and violence, maybe they have a right to say that it's bad given that the only thing it did is make their life worse?
