Broke my promise today. My dog died yesterday of old age (15 years) and after drinking a bottle of scotch I sat down to watch this movie again. Cried from minute 1 till the end.I dunno how healthy that is but I just couldn't help it.
We had a thunderstorm today. I live on the 2nd floor and my folk live downstairs. I heard our dog bark. She barks whenever she's scared and she's scared to death of thunderstorms. So I went down, put my dog in my arms and brought it to the 2nd floor and to my room. She was crying, like literally tears out of her eyes. I brought her upstairs, put her in my bedroom and she's spending time with me now and sleeping on my carpet. Every breath she breathers feels like her telling me "I love you"
I'm sorry, I know how horribly painful it is and how you are hurting. Nothing but time makes it any better, I first watched it about a year before my beagle Sophie, had to make THAT VISIT to the vets, and then watched it again after, and of course the tears flowed, but it was because of the love and devotion for my Sophie and how that comes across in Hatchi. The tears clear your soul and fill your heart with memories. Now, I try to avoid watching it, but usually fail miserably, and my dog now, Charley, had gotta think I'm looney when I hold him in a 30 minute hug when the movies over. All the sympathies at the loss if your friend.
