So we can all agree right... (spoilers)

that Jason Alexander's character poisoned Richard Gere's coffee? That last look he gives Parker, it was like "Uh, what the..." then the hot dog stand guy is talking with the bookstore owner about a dog with a ball (like it's the second coming of Elvis) giving Jason Alexander enough time to put whatever he wants in the coffee meant for Parker. It was slow acting of course. Which is why he keeled over in whatever class he was teaching. No one would ever suspect it.

Everyday he sat, seeing this dog love Parker, knowing no human, nor animal, would ever love him that much. He lives alone, maybe was married, but is divorced. He gets up at the crack of dawn, leaving at night to give tickets to people for their little meaningless lives. His only friend really was Parker, who had the perfect life it seemed. A loving wife, beautiful daughter, big house, great job that Parker loved.

But oh no, Hachi was the last straw. When he was a kid, you know he had a dog, but secret to his abusive mother and alcoholic father. Finally the parents caught him, feeding the dog, and took it away. It traumatized him so much he could never even bare to have another pet. Seeing Hachi though, he considered it, but gave it to Parker, thinking the rightful owner would pick him up eventually. Parker just had to have it all though. Finally, what made him snap, was the the day Parker asked him to hold the train so he could comfort Hachi, as if Parker were some GOD controlling time. Hell, he wasn't even invited to Parker's daughter's wedding, but you know who was, HACHI.

This...he could not abide. I mean just look at the way he takes credit for finding Hachi, so HE can be the famous one. It all makes sense...

Time is a poem, the world is a verse, people are a word, I am a letter

I actually enjoyed your post. Creative imagination runs well through it, and there is an element of plausibility that does make one wonder … after all, Jason Alexander’s character was unsavoury in more than one way.

Thanks for sharing.
