Stuntman Mike couldn't sneeze ?
Why did Stuntman Mike pretend that a sneeze was coming on on the porch of the bar with the first set of girls? What was the point of that?

I don't think he was pretending. He did sneeze, but was unable to produce mucus like most people do.
Earlier in the film, Tarantino focuses on stuntman Mike in his car using eye drops to lubricate his eyes too. Stuntman Mike is lacking some essential fluids in his body.
One can only guess what other *ahem* fluid *ahem* he is lacking since the guy can only get off by killing girls with his car.
I can't remember if there are other scenes that relate to this, maybe the scene where he tells the Rose McGowan character he doesn't drink alcohol (since alcohol dehydrates the body and the guy is already dry inside).
That's what I got from the scenes.
Sort of going along with that, I do think Quentin was trying to showcase that Stuntman Mike was a pansy deep down, like a straight up geek that turned his life around in the "stunt" world. I mean what "bada.ss" uses eye drops or has a fake-sneeze interrupt while he's trying to sweet-talk a chick? He's also "picked on" by Eli Roth at the bar. This also lends itself to the transformation we see when he cries like a baby when he's shot later. Of course, he's evil, sadistic, etc. but deep down Quentin seemed to be trying to put an smidgen of sympathy on his side. He was a huge nerd that seemed to develop bada.ss tendencies after being outcast it seems.
shareWell there is a Scene in the script that when stuntman mike kills the girls, he masterbates, and he sheriff mentions it in a later scene, so my point is that the sneeze thing is just a weird moment that QT decided to leave in

I think the sneeze just illustrated a moment of awkwardness for him (like when you feel a sneeze coming on but it doesn't quite materialize), the awkwardness is also shown when he brags about being in a bunch of TV shows no one in the bar is old enough to remember, and the girls make fun of Rose McGowan for getting into his car. This guy can't fit into the world he wants to fit into, so he kills the girls for jollies.
The not drinking alcohol thing was just so that he wouldn't have any charges pressed against him after the car wreck.

shareThe way I saw it was that he was trying to sneeze and was looking up at the streetlights to induce the sneeze. Some folk, I am one, have some kind of light sensitivity thing whereby we sneeze when we see a change from light to dark. I'll walk out of a dark room into sunshine and start sneezing, so if I ever feel a sneeze coming on that 'won't' happen (you know that feeling?) I simply look at the lightbulb or whatever, and most of the time I'll sneeze. As soon as I saw this happen that was my assumption, he tried and failed to sneeze.
