Do you think the women (second half) will get away with killing Mike?

He got away with murder the first half...will the women in the second half get away with killing him? I believe they could use a self defense issue, considering his past. What do you guys think?

I like to think the car was unregistered (that being the easiest way to track them down) and they'll never be charged.

How many times do they have to tell us before we believe them?

reply

I hope they do get charged, they've committed the crime of killing a more likable character than themselves

What past? On paper, he was in an automobile accident that probably wasn't the first, and was never charged or tried for a crime. As for whether they got away with killing him, I suppose that would depend on how well they covered it up. If they got caught or turned themselves in they'd almost certainly go down, and self defense would never work since Mike's car was damaged in a way that would clearly show they were the aggressors for a time. Plus of course the injuries he sustained, such as the gunshot wound, would be examined and the bullet (if it was still inside) matched to the gun used by the black chick if she had it on her. There would be too many things to explain, and since the three girls don't seem very bright, at least one of them would probably fold under questioning.

The only way they'd maybe get away with it is if they destroyed both cars, burned or otherwise disposed of Mike's body (assuming they did in fact murder him, and that final kick to the head did appear to either crush his skull or break his neck so it's likely), and got the hell out of there as fast as they could. But that's without even considering the information the owner of the car possesses, such as Abbie's name and where they're staying (that's if she wasn't lying), as well as their friend whom they revealed was famous and left in the lurch waiting with the guy.

Bringing the car back in such a state, or not at all, would require an explanation, one that would never fly if the owner happened to turn on the news and hear a story about a car chase involving a white Dodge Challenger with a girl playing Ship's Mast (entirely plausible, given the witnesses). Should he then decide to go to the police... well. However, since the owner himself appears easily persuaded and not too bright either, it's possible they could pay to fix the car and offer to bribe him further with money or sexual favours so he kept his mouth shut. With a lot of luck and a lot of effort, it is remotely possible that they could pull it off, but I doubt it.

You spared no expense on that explanation Stealth John Hammond. I think I want to carry your child, who will no doubt be meticulous in his research as well!

reply

Yes, I think I put far too much thought into that post, but when I get going I can't stop.
