No, not really. I wouldn't call this a slasher, at least not a traditional one.
A traditional slasher in the mold of Friday the 13th would have the kills more spaced out, and there would be more deaths than just five (four occurring all at once). There would also be one final girl who kills the killer, not three.
While this movie is about a serial killer, it doesn't feature most of the characteristics that we come to expect from a traditional slasher film.
It certainly isn't a traditional slasher, but I do think it's meant to be seen as an inversion of a slasher film.
