Jungle Julia Empathy - Is it just me?

It seems like every comment I read trumpets the death of Jungle Julia as the most satisfying moment of Death Proof. Still, I cannot help but feel a ton of sympathy for the long legged beauty and her bare feet. I felt bad for her because her bare feet were probably the centerpiece of her character.

Did she deserve her fate? Did the fact that she was always barefoot warrant sympathy or was it a vehicle to make her demise all the more satisfying to most viewers?

Any and all feedback on this inquiry is greatly appreciated.

Same here. She was a fox. My second favourite, after Arlene.🐭

No... I felt the least sorry for her out of everyone. She was so annoying the entire film I dont know if it was the actress or the way QT wanted it read but every line of dialogue she had came out in this bitchy, snobby, I think Im so cool voice. I could not stand her, and the girl who drove in the second half was equally as arrogant and annoying to listen too.

But what about her always being barefoot? Did you have no sympathy for her bare feet at all?

reply

Nah feet dont do anything for me. She took the risk. Besides Im not sure a pair of shoes wouldve helped her much in that accident... heh

Honestly dude what the hell is wrong with you, all you do is post about her "bare feet".
That's creepy af.
