Was meant to come out last year but got delayed, probably cause it's awful, still no news on when or where it'll pop up.

Could it be outright shelved? Like what they did with Batgirl?

Surely it can't be that awful, just dump it onto HBO Max or something. Jeez.

Salem's Lot is not currently scheduled for release.[18] It was originally set to release on September 9, 2022, the post–Labor Day weekend that had been successful for the studio's past horror releases and on April 21, 2023, "due to COVID-related delays in the post-production realm" before losing its release date to Evil Dead Rise.[16]

Someone who's seen a preview says it's a scary movie. But there are too many jump scares. That's a drawback he says.

The vampire kids at the window are apparently as frightening as the 1979 version, but one hides under the bed and then jumps out. The ending is dfferent too.

The romance between Ben and his girl is played down. But all in all the guy who saw the preview said he doesn't understand why the movie has been held up.
