Patty's disrespect to clients

I have dug this show for years but this season Patty seems even more rude and unlikeable than in the past
it probably has something to do with being grumpy about her new assistants and the departure of her long time and successful ones
regardless it always crosses my mind-
the show obvious implies that the clients who 'get' Patties help (I put the word get in question because we all know a good deal of this stuff is set up) pay her a premium, a large amount of cash because she supposedly is great at what she does (haha yeah right)
what crosses my mind is if the clients are paying Patty lots of money why would she berate them and be so rude?
I understand being a bit harsh at moments to throw a cold glass of water on the clients faces so to speak, but how can she possibly stay in business by being so rude?

it just makes zero sense to me

seems like with that attitude to paying customers Patty's business would 100% be destroyed if not for the fact that it is a TV show and millionaires (apparently) want to be on it for publicity
