Guess what? Many times people meet when they hang among the same crowds and there is a chance that you won't remember meeting someone or that someone won't remember meeting you, especially when alcohol is involved. Its not the end of the world and nothing to take personally (unless you have had a long conversation with that person, which didnt appear to be the case here).
