Is Moon Knight another character?
I know there is Marc, Steven and Jake but is Moon Knight considered a separate character? I thought Moon Knight was just the "super hero" description.

shareFrom what I gather, Moon Knight is the superheroic identity of Marc, Steven and Jake when they are wearing the costume. It isn't another personality. This is demonstrated when Steven transforms into his own unique-looking version of the hero.
shareThe thing is this is based off more recent comics where Marc Specter has multiple personality disorder. This was not a thing in the early 90s comics I read as a kid. I like this show but prefer the way he was in the early 90s when Marc didn't have a mental disorder and where he was a legit government spy. Also in the comics I read the costume wasn't a magical thing Konshu gave him. He was a tech based Superhero.
Heck, Konshu was barely a thing in the comics I read.
I didn't read anything with him in the '90s, but in the '70s and '80s, when he was introduced, the character was in line with what was in the show. He was a boxer who became a marine, and then a soldier of fortune, who died in an Egyptian tomb, and was resurrected by Khonshu, and given superpowers. He was portrayed as being insane in a sort of generic way, but that was later made into multiple personalities. What they did with him after that, I don't know, but that's where the character started.
shareOriginally Moon Knight didn't suffer from any mental illness. Marc was a wanted man. He created the Steven Grant identity so he could live in public while acting as Moon Knight. The Jake Lockley identity was created so he could make use of his street contacts.
