I don't care one bit about this show
I'm not even caught up. I only watched episode 3 last night. I just don't care that much. The costume looks good, but nothing about this show interests me.

shareSomehow the character design / origin is just uninteresting. Feels like random.
shareThe show allows the character(s) to be discovered, to be revealed, and it is a masterful performance by Oscar Issac.
For those who say that they are tired of Punchy-Punchy Superhero movies, or cookie cutter films, or predictable tropes..(well almost all heroes have a tragic, painful beginning).... this series is fantastic.
Also, Egyptology, the music choices, absolutely inform and influence the directions of this series and even deftly threads into the MCU.
I hope Marvel figures out a way to keep Oscar Issac and his Moon Knight character on board.
The hippo god is just too goofy.
shareThat is interesting. I knew very little about Egyptology and or Middle Eastern myths. One would or could think about the potentially blasemphous representation or the sheer spectacle as an introduction.
Instead of taking me out of the moment I just leaned in and allowed the show and the character to take me along.
I found the character fascinating in a show about D.I.D. and superheroes.
I dropped it after the third episode too. I just couldn't get into the story. It's all over the place.
