Have to admit I'm not impressed. I see potential but I think they're trying to duplicate the formula of Daredevil where they build him up over the season.
sharereally doubt that , Daredevil season 1 was 13 x 1 hour episodes , this show is only 6 x 45 min. episodes , so every episode is gonna be fast paced.
shareMarvel always tries to build up the character in the first one or two episodes. In this episode, we will get to know about the problem of Steve. Maybe in the second episode, we will see how Steve contact that Egyptian God. I like the episode.
I did not love it but I dont hate it either. It was a bit of mess but I suspect that was intentional to reflect his mental state. It got a little better as it went along. The cgi looked like from 20 years ago. Its kinda weird to just drop the viewer into an ongoing saga without establishing anything. The goldfish, the scarab, Ethan Hawks character, the werewolf…. I can only guess it will all be explained in future episodes. At least Isaac and Hawk were good. I got a feeling its gonna be a stinker but I’m gonna keep watching for now. I give this episode a 6/10.
