Never Back Down 2

It is in the works. Here is the plot:

After being beaten by Jake, Ryan becomes sober, and admires Jake. Ryan then joins Jean Roqua's gym. After the guidance and training of Jean, Ryan gradually changes his outlook on life, and becomes a better person, using his extraordinary skills for a better cause. Ryan and Jake become friends, and sparring buddies.

Jake and Baja are still happy together. Ryan has a new girlfriend; her name is Anna (Amanda Seyfried). She used to date a really bad guy, Erick (Josh Thomson). But she wakes up, and decides to leave him behind and move to Orlando, where she meets Ryan.

But life is never smooth and easy. Anna's ex boyfriend (Erick) and his gang of bad asses come to town to look for her. They terrorize Jake's school, and abduct both Baja and Anna. Ryan and Jake team up, and go look for their girl friends. They eventually save their girlfriends and defeat and drive the bad asses out of town.

In this sequel, Cam Gigandet is playing the lead role. Cam has:
a more good looking face
a better ripped body
better fighting skills
a very captivating and convincing acting

The bad guys are played by real MMA cutest fighters: Josh Thomson, Sam Stout, Matt Riddle ...

Projections:
First US weekend opening revenue: $32 millions
Cam Gigandet will win best actor award
Cam and Sean will win best fighting duo

You know, this could actually work. I like NBD as a pure cheesy fight movie and this could have those qualities. Plus, Baja mentioned that she used to be poor and unpopular in her old town. You could have the new arrivals be from back there.

cypher amereiz,

Thanks for the comment and suggestion. I've just added some details.

This could work. It's not like Cam Gigandet is doing anything lately.

notpictured,

Thanks for the comment. I am not so sure what you mean by "It's not like Cam Gigandet is doing anything lately"

Horrible, just horrible. Enemies who become friends only works when it's Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed.

BoSoxRule,

Thanks for the comment. I respect your view point.

However I wish to provide some justification:

1. Look at the end of the movie: the way Ryan and Jake smile to each other. This a precursor that they will not be fighting each other in the sequel.

2. Look at MMA real fighting world, and you will see a lot of enemies become friends and sparring partners. Just because their strength and skills match, they become best sparring buddies.

3. In an interview, Cam Gigandet himself said that because fighters are "on each other intimate stuff" so much, they have that chemistry in between them, and could end up being friends.

4. Look at history:
a. Germany and Japan have been the best allies to the US since World War II.
b. Germany and France become the best friends and the two co-founders of the European Union.
c. The US and Vietnam become good friends. The US has become Vietnam's number one trading partner for many years.
d. It was the grudge and punishment of France and England towards a defeated Germany after Worl War I that lead to the rise of Hitler.
It was the US Marshall Plan that helped Germany becomes the most powerful democratic and economic power in Europe.

Those who say enemies cannot become friends are those who harbor grudge/rancor and lack forgiveness/broad-mindedness.

OK, but Ryan doesn't deserve Jake's forgiveness. Ryan was a piece of sh!t who badmouthed Jake's dead father and also put his friend in the hospital. Maybe they don't fight each other anymore, but they certainly shouldn't become friends.

sorry but that is a terrible plot! too cheesy and like some other guy said, two guys who totally hated each other wont just start liking each other and more then anything become best friends. sorry just wouldnt happen :)

unlike others here, don't have a problem with Ryan and Jake being bff's. Its everything else thats cheesy, and ridiculous, and unlogical.

Why would they make a NEVER BACK DOWN 2, centering around some new, unimportant, insignificant character? It doesn't make sense, and trust me when I say - not gonna happen.
