This movie tries too hard

So the other night this move was on real late and i could not sleep and since nothing else was on i decided to watch it. Plus Amber Heard is smoking hot so i figured itd be good to see her.

But this movie just tries too hard to be cool. MMA was really getting popular before this movie was made and they seemed to want to tap into that audience. But they really do a disservice to MMA with this movie.

First of all, the fact that they would put on the gloves and have a MMA style match in the middle of a party is ridiculous enough. Add to that the fact that everyone, guys and girls seemed to love every second of it and cheer them on.

Then you got the loser kid with the camera who feels the need to tape everything. The whole filming everything in this movie gets ridiculous to the point where he's in the hospital at the end watching a parking lot brawl on his cell phone live.

When he first goes to the gym and they show some different moves, which the floppy headed kid has to say what they are, its like they show and say what the moves are just to gain some MMA credibility.

This movie was just really really bad.

I see what you mean about it trying to hard to be cool, A movie that needs the new hip soundtrack for instance kanye and, lil wayne, when they use a lot of mainstream songs like that it will always be douchy. A show that I think tries too hard is Friday Night Lights the series, the movie was good though
