Was that line intended to show how stupid Max is? Or was that just emblematic of how imbecilic this entire movie is?

lol, since I didn't notice that he said it wrong in the movie, and I'm not bad at physics, I'd have to say there's a good chance that no one noticed he said it wrong and it passed. It actually looks right when you read your title the first time, too.
