Is it possible that Zooey's character suffers from BPD ?

Borderline Personality Disorder, i mean her mood shifts and her shiftting from idealizing Joseph Gordan's character (feeling admiration and love) to devaluing him, i mean they are all symptoms of BPD , what do you guys think? especially the ones who are familiar with BPD.

I don't think so, considering that we can only see Summer through Tom's eyes, I guess the mood changes was her being colder to the relationship. She was having fun at the beginning but then it got serious and she wanted out but had no idea how to do it without hurting Tom.

I'm not seeing the BPD. We aren't really shown her idealizing Tom at all. She's attracted to him for a time, sure, but that's normal. We do see her feelings towards him shift over the course of the relationship, but only in a fairly typical way. It's far from what could be characterized as extreme or turbulent.
Actually, if I had to single out any of the main characters as having BPD, it would be Tom: he really does go from idealizing Summer to downright hating her. But I don't really think Tom had BPD either.
As for the rest of the diagnostic criteria, we aren't shown any behavior in the movie that would indicate that they apply to Summer.

Summer does not suffer from BPD. Maybe there never really was a relationship. At least not for her. She just does not love him and only wants to have fun. As she said at the very beginning of the movie. It happens.
