You know most of these restaurants, dives, or diners are suffering due to the economy. Not many people today are going to places like they use to. Everything is now made at home. I know most of the food is good, but could you imagine the prices on these items? You might as well cook yourself for much less than pay over $80.00 from something you could find on any location there is.

These items are from places where dishes cost NO MORE than $13-15 each. They are food you'd find in, wait for it DINERS DRIVE INS AND DIVES.
These are places that their menus feature items CHEAPTER then a crappy Fridays or Macaroni Grill

It depends where you live. In the area I grew up in, everyone still eats out nearly daily. Restaurants (the good ones) are always full up, or at the least, doing a brisk takeout business.
