I loved that movie and it clearly ended with a possibility for another part and so is there any news on whether they might be planning on filming another film?

Great, powerful, emotionally engaging movie for sure, but a sequel is not necessary. It's heavily implied that Jenny does not make it out of the bathroom alive, and and it wouldn't be long until the police were on the hunt. It also wouldn't be long until the two deceased gang members would be discovered in the woods. And one of them who Brett trampled to death. Also the Asian's charcoal corpse would be found. The ending also implies that no sides left with any victory.
shareI do agree with the points you've made however, how many times was there a film which ended up having a sequel even though it would have been impossible in real life for events as such to happen again.
Also, I could imagine doing the same thing but perhaps completely different place/main villains.
Of course it would be easy to screw it up but if the writers would do a good job, I would for sure watch it.

I think a lot of us would like to see a sequel just so we can watch Jenny get her revenge, I spit in your grave style.
But it'd pretty much just be fan fiction/service. As much as I'd love to see Brett and his fat creepy father get Adam'd (my new phrase to refer to getting your head set on fire) it would just lessen the impact of the first film.
