The is film challenges your liberal views

I watched this film yesterday,and I must admit that it did ignite my inner Charles Bronson. The teenagers were not just cheeky kids, they were violent thugs who clearly were not averse to extreme behaviour. The murder of Steve and the young Asian boy was horrible.

Once Steve and Jenny came under attack, I wanted them to take revenge on the gang, even though we know they were obviously children. This was a particularly nasty group with a violent( and abused) bully as its leader.I felt no pity for the two gang members that Jenny managed to kill.

reply

@dazfiddy.I felt no pity for those murdering horrible children either.

reply

Sicko. Only two were really bad. The leader and his chicky.

reply

The black kid was bad too. The other three were remorseful and obviously didn't want to take things as far as Brett did.

reply

What liberal views are those?

reply

I am talking about people who are liberal minded. I would include myself in that group.

reply

Having dealt with many like the kids in the film, it doesn't challenge me. Those kids have always been rude, crass and down right awful to me and others. No pity from me. Just because you have it rougher than others doesn't excuse your *beep* behaviour.

Assuming Direct Control

reply

Exactly. KIds survived concentration camps and still became decent people. No excuse for such thugs.

reply

You've dealt with "many" teenagers who are sociopathic mass murderers that burn children alive with gasoline?

Are you not entertained?!

reply

I think he means, before we criminalize them, we should find out many times mommy and daddy spanked them. Or (as I believe), if they were tweakers, it was the drugs that made them do it.

Liberalism = diminished accountability

I just wasn't made for these times. (Brian Wilson)

reply

This is one of the main problems with modern liberalism, diminished accountability of people based on socio-economic background, gender, race or religion.

Classical liberalism was far more interesting as it promoted rights with responsibilities and didn't seem to shy away from law and and order.

Liberalism = diminished accountability

HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! That is HILARIOUS!! Republicans remove all regulation - i.e. accountability - from the banking system and almost destroy the world economy but LIBERALS stand for diminished accountability??? HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Surely you Republicans can't be THAT deluded all on your own? You MUST be taking hallucinogenic drugs to help you attain that level of delusion? Hey ... tell me ... when are you going to start demanding that George W. Bush be held accountable for the illegal war he started in Iraq? You know ... the one he lied about to get started? The one which killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people and led directly to the formation of the Islamic State? What ... never??? Yeah ... I thought not. So much for accountability huh? HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

:-D

We're from the planet Duplon. We are here to destroy you.

reply

I'm neither an American nor a Republican.

There are huge differences between Classical Liberalism and Modern Liberalism.

But if moaning about a political party and George Bush, and blaming them for the Islamic State is more interesting to you I am sure you can find a Republican to bounce off of.

The film is manipulative and badly written. The only thing it challenged was my patience.

reply

Exactly daz and well said.
